Season Three, Episode One

June 24, 1879

We are in London!!! Ew, stinky. Oh…well at least the sewers part of it. Full of rats and people and some lady that doesn’t seem very nice. We get attack by giant rats and men. Reggie shoots a couple of rats and they turn into demons. The lady flirts with Murphy, and Corman, and Mr. Parker – which made Aieslyn mad.

Reggie shoots her and she says she’s leaving but she’ll return. She kinda acts like we should know her.. and she thanks us for freeing her. I’m guessing she’s one of the demons from the box.

We finally make it out of the tunnel and onto the streets. We meet a lawman, Murphy says they are called ‘bobbys’, he seems very concerned about us wandering about the streets of London. But Mr. Parker shows him some papers and he suddenly gets impressed and shows us the way to our hotel.

Murphy suddenly says he needs to take off. Something about…uh…exploring the city. The rest of us get shown our rooms – we each have our own – and I take a bath and get ready for bed. Fairfax and his men take off.

June 25, 1879

Next morning Mr. Parker introduces us to a Mr. Angus O’Keefe. Then two more people show up. A nice well dressed man and lady. The man introduces himself as Sir William Hill. I shake his hand and he says it’s nice to meet you again and then I realize that it’s MURPHY!! He’s all cleaned up. He apologized for anything he ever said when he was in his disguise. We are all in shock. Finally we are able to meet the Lady Julia Wescott.

Aieslyn fills in our 3 well 2 companions on what’s been going on as far as why we were here.

We meet Mr. Fairfax on the way to our luncheon. We are all eating lunch at Scotland Yard which is surprisingly NOT in Scotland. Mr. Henderson is the commissioner of Scotland Yard.

Tomorrow at the World History Museum is a Gala for Egyptian artifacts. One of the pieces of the parchments may be there. We’ll need to talk to the curator, Mr. Mark Wholers, and that he should be willing to help us – according to Mr. Henderson.

Notes:

So if Stone is “Death” and Grimme is “Famine” we still need to figure out “War” and “Pestilence”.

Mr. Fairfax tells me that tonight I should go with him to a meeting. Old world connections.

I go with the Aieslyn, Marguerite, and Lady Julia to go dress shopping for the gala tonight.

Aieslyn notices we are being followed at one point. When we meet back up with the group later Murphy…Sir Hill says that Corman noticed someone following the two of them as well.

Later Fairfax shows up to invite everyone else to the meeting. Sir Hill says he’ll meet us there.

9pm we get ready to leave for our meeting. Fairfax explains that the here in Europe the group, called The Rippers, are broken up into factions. Fairfax’s group is the Wanderers. We’ll all be part of the Wanderers.

We got to an older section of the city. We head into a church. A priest takes us to a side door down some spiral staircase down to a huge amphitheater underground.

I see Lady Julia sitting with a group of people called the Old Worlders – back row is Eastern Europe (not a lot of money) up front is from Western Europe (more money). Another group is a Masked Crusaders, which has Sir Hill in it – a younger group run by a hero named the Yankee they tend to work in America. Another group in robes with religious insignias and symbols called the Rosicrucians – they helped invent the type of technology that Aegis group used. Fairfax says that they didn’t want that getting out and that technology gets sent back. Another group called the Slayers is lead by Johan Van Helsing – fight monsters, like vampires. A group called the Order of the St. George – dressed like Nuns & priests are very much against the Ripper Tech(nology) that the Rosicrucian’s invented. They tend to have more artifacts. And one of the last group he mentions in the Witch Hunters, Fairfax cautions against talking to them since they tend to think a lot of the magics we use are bad. Fairfax doesn’t really let that group know some stuff his men can do.

We all sit down and soon a man stands up from the Slayers group he, like everyone else here is armed to the teeth, and starts talking. He introduces himself as Johan Van Helsing, leader of the Slayers, and says that the meeting was called to talk about the force of evil that has been rising in America. That they’ve spend the last 10 years investigating. He says he’ll have someone called the “Artful Dodger” who has been investigating in America, as have the Wanderers, and wants to talk about some stolen artifacts.

The Artful Dodger stands up (it’s Sir Hill!!!) and he talks about the parchments to stop Grimme and the demon in the sewer of London. He then says that there are other that might have more to say on the subject and if they would come up. Fairfax asks me if I want to talk for the Wanderers, not being sure what I should or should not say I ask Aieslyn to come with me. But then Corman stands up runs into the center and attacks Van Helsing. He then moves onto another guy in the Rosicrucians’ and slices his head off! Reggie shoots at Corman. He stays up, Sir Hill runs down there and punches him but can’t knock him down and then he gets shot by someone in the Rosicrucians and finally falls down.

The room erupts into noise. Some looking at the “miracle” because Aieslyn resurrected the Rosicrucian. Some want to talk to her other experiment on her. Some are praying. The Witch Hunters are looking at her like they are going to kill her.

Angus heals Van Helsing.

The Slayers are surrounding Corman’s body. Sir Hill is trying to calm everyone down and collect Corman. The Slayers want him. The Rosicrucians are able to be talked down. Then Reggie flashy thingies some of the Slayers.

A lady from the Slayer, Tara, group walks up to Fairfax and with an American accent asks him what he brought in here, that he killed Johan.

People start heading out in groups. The Witch Hunter group is attacked by Werewolves which helps Aieslyn get away with the Wanderers.

Back at the hotel Angus wants to know what that was all about and Marguerite explains some about what happened to him. Angus wants to know why we haven’t put him down. He agrees that he is a nice enough of most of the times but he’s a liability. Which Sir Hill agrees with.

Reggie says anyone who tries to kills Corman has to go through him. Aieslyn is neutral in the argument stating that the Captain liked Corman. Sir Hill & Marguerite want him put down and I just stay out of it. I’ve argued with Corman about this enough before and it doesn’t change anything.

Fairfax says they probably won’t have another meeting for months because of what happened. I’m sad that my first time at this meeting led to nothing really getting done. I told Fairfax I’d give him my notes and reports and he can talk to them without our group there next time.

June 26, 1879

Breakfast. Everyone else talked about Corman. He sulked in his room. Aieslyn went to talk to him and she now has her new man to try and save.

I went to see some sites in London before we had to get ready for the Gala that night.

A Lord Windham introduces himself and asks if I’d like to see his family’s estates. He gets me a drink.

I see what looks like a few people acting suspiciously. As if they are gathering information in order to rob the place. I tell it to Sir Hill and he says he noticed it too, everyone of us notice it.

There’s a man walking around called Sir Edward Gray. He’s the hero that saved the Queen from an assassin. Sir Hill doesn’t like him.

As the evening comes near to ending Mr. Edmund Henderson asks if we’d like to talk to the curator Mr. Wholers now. I ask about Lord Windham and Sir Hill says that he’s not that nice of a person. Aieslyn agrees.

Mr. Wholers’ office overlooks the museum floor. We talk to him and agree to pat $10,000 for the parchment. We make the deal and we hear a noise from down stairs.

We see thieves and werewolves downstairs. Possible some worshipers of Anubis. But the wolves are men are not working together as we see them attacking each other.

I blast one with my magic but it doesn’t really much to the werewolf. Corman attacks the wolf and ends up hurting it. I end up teleporting Sir. Hill down stairs so he can shoot some people. Aieslyn teleports Mr. Parker downstairs and he starts shooting. At one point Corman falls/jumps from upstairs and falls on the floor. Angus who got a silver axe from Sir Hill ends up taking down a werewolf in one impressive shot!

The werewolves turn on me and one attacks me without me even provoking it. I hope I don’t turn into a wolf. Corman seems to be the only one that can hurt them with anything. As he rips the one off me that had me pinned down. Finally between Corman and Angus they kill the last of the wolves keeping the museum from getting robbed.

I hunch one of the wolves.

Season Three, Christmas Special

Time has passed since you all came back to Freedom. The first 24 hours were very emotional as your comrade in arms left this world for another plane. But time continues to march forward. In the next 4 weeks the town of Freedom has become a busy haven of work as it begins rebuilding. Along with your house, General Sheridan is planning to construct a small Fort in Freedom to protect the railroad that the Union has started building. They hope it will be able to run from Virginia City to Sacramento to Freedom and to Fort Lincoln. After the inability to move troops and resources quick enough, the General has decided to make this one of his priorities.

During this time Mr. Conkling has made sure your pay has been brought up to date so each of you receive a sum of money in the currency of your choice in the amount of $5,000.00. As Mr. Parker has mentioned before other monies for your retirement are still in a bank in Virginia City. Captain Harrison’s money has been divided up among his men and their families. Some of his money has been put into a fund to help children who have lost their families during this war.

Mr. Conkling has also asked that everyone prepare to take a trip around the world as you will need to hunt down pieces of a journal that Reverend Grimme wrote after he was taken over by a spirit sent by the Reckoners. The belief is that these items will help in being able to finally defeat Grimme and his army of followers. Mr. Conkling will be sending Mr. Parker with you to help in matters of finance and gathering information with people he knows in the world. Also Mr. Conkling mentions he has several guides in England that he has prepared to help show you around Europe and he feels that they will be a welcome addition to your group.

During this time, Fairfax and his men have stayed in Freedom and they are usually seen talking with Cassandra. After Fort Lincoln has been relieved of the siege upon it by Grimme’s forces, Colonel Wembley comes out to talk with General Sheridan at Freedom. Mr. Conkling meets with them and discusses the future of the war with Grimme. It is during this time that Mr. Conkling asks James Thomas for help in arranging travel for all of you. At some point Horatio, Mr. Thomas’s friend, makes it back to Freedom and they are reunited. A week before everyone is set to leave you'll see James Thomas setting up a ritual circle under a tent in Freedom. He spends most of the week working on a very intricately designed circle that uses runes and Latin. During the week Mr. Parker lets you all know that instead of traveling overland and then by sea to England, that Mr. Thomas has offered to expend some of his resources to create a gateway to London. This way the group can save over 2 months of travel time. James Thomas explains that when he opens up the gate you will need to enter and walk on the golden path and to not stray from it. If you leave the path you will most likely be lost forever in another metaphysical plane. He says that you will need to walk for a few hours on the path before it will end with another gate, which after walking through you should find yourselves in London.

The day for leaving arrives and everyone says their goodbyes to their friends. Mr. Conkling, General Sheridan, and Colonel Wembley give their blessings and wish you all good luck. Fairfax, Jebidah, and Gabriel ask to come along as they need to get to England and this would help them immensely. Then James Thomas starts his incant in Latin at first and then switches off to an older tongue and within a few minutes the ritual circle glows with a golden and blue light and then the gate way itself opens up and you see the path you'll need to follow. The path is gold with blue lightening on the sides. Nothing holds up the path way and everything else around it is dark. The only other light you see is a blue glow very far off in the distance. After following the path for a few hours you come to the other gateway leading out. As you walk through the gate, your feet splash into a brownish green liquid and a foul smelling air assaults your nose. You look around to find gaslight lanterns along the walls. It looks like the gate sent you into the sewers. As the last of you walk through the Gate, you hear a scurrying noise down one of the other tunnels and you see rapid movements of shadows. Suddenly you see some men in slovenly clothes and robes jump out from many tunnel entrances. At the same time giant rats start squealing and running out of the pipes and tunnels towards you. You hear a lady's voice; “Welcome to London, Ladies and Gentlemen, now let us have some fun!!”

The Journal of Cassandra Kane: Her Adventures in the Wild Wild West

Dime Novel: Angels & Demons

Real World Date: February 2009

Game World Date: April-May 1879

Season Two, Episode Nine

April 1-7, 1879

We settle in to Virginia City – Mr. Conkling has found us some place to live.   Aieslyn and I do more research on the demon and the chains.   In the first week Reggie & his brother leave. He says he has Agency business.

April 8-14, 1879

I have a conversation Mr. Conkling.  Fairfax & his men arrive – we have our conversation. He give me an Ivory bracelet to help keep the bad dreams away and it’s supposed to keep someone – the Major – from possibly seeing through my eyes.   Marguerite & the Captain arrive; the Captain stays with his men.

April 15-30, 1879

Corman invites Aieslyn and I to go see ‘his’ Injuns. They live further away in Nevada. He says that Aieslyn could learn a lot about doing magic from them. He tells us that he is half Injuns – Sheshawne Tribe – his mother is Injun – Hianna. The Elder is Wandering Deer.

Along the way Aieslyn tells me & Corman about how she have feelings for the Captain. But she has them for Mr. Parker too. And she’s been biblical with Mr. Parker – I should talk to Mr. Parker about marrying her because it’s not proper what he did without them being married!!! Corman is all cranky that she has feelings for two people in our group and that it’s gonna cause problems. I should probably talk to the Captain about not having a duel with Mr. Parker over Aieslyn.

At Sheshana camp a tough old lady makes Corman cut firewood, fix tents, and do all sorts of chores. He laughs and gets to work. He later tells us that is his mother. She drags Aieslyn off to be with the medicine men and she kills buffalo and sits in sweat tents, and says she’s learning stuff. I don’t understand that part of it.

I play with the kids and learn new games. I also help around the camp making stuff, and putting things together and helping cook dinner. They are very nice and talk to me, of what I can understand, but they let me help them and teach me stuff.

At the end of the 4 days there we see a Ghost Dance. I can actually understand some of what they are doing. It’s all beats and math. Aieslyn says she can’t do that, her rituals would be different but I tell her I think I might be able to help. We haven’t done a ritual together since the “Lost Cave”.

May 1-12, 1879

General Sheridan is running the Union army out here.

For Lincoln is still there but under siege. Freedom has been destroyed. Sacramento is also under siege.

May 12, 1879

Mr. Conkling calls a meeting. He did say he would talk to everyone after the conversation we last had.

It really doesn’t go well. No one really comes up and says that have an issue with Mr. Conkling even though they do. Guess they don’t care about working for someone they find suspicious.

The knife is connected to the Lost Cave and that used in conjunction with other items it could be a powerful item without the hindrance of dementia – that and not to spend too much time with the weapon.

I give up.

If/when I get to lead a group of Wanderers I’m going to make sure we all have the same goals in mind and it’s more than just a paycheck. That they know the difference between good and evil and know that people need a chance.

Divinations on Reverend Grimm have just shown a long sheet of white parchment. The theory is he wrote something that Conkling’s researchers call is the Grimme Prophecy. Supposedly he wrote when them down and ripped them up and scattered them. Hopefully finding the pieces will give us an insight into destroying him.

Grimme is trying to create a Deadland in order to give power to the Reckoners. So they can return to this mortal coil.

The Major hasn’t been seen since his attack on Freedom.

Aieslyn also talks about the ritual options we have researched to come with trying to deal with the Major. There’s a lot of argument about which one to do. Marguerite thinks the Captain should kill himself. Reggie, Murphy, and the Captain vote for option C – where we have to fight Asmodeous but it will be hard and people cold die. Aieslyn, Corman and I vote for option E – where fate is righted and we see where it falls. There’s lots of yelling and arguing. Reggie finally changes his vote to our but only after making sure that Aieslyn is confidant that she believes she can do the ritual.

She takes off in a huff and goes to get the ingredients needed for ritual and set up. I go with her and help some. Then before she’s just about ready to start I finally some time alone with the Captain to tell him about the last of his men held captive by the Major. That they were killed but that the Father may still be alive.

He says that he understands what I said back in the meeting and that I shouldn’t give up trying. He knows it’s hard but that I should be strong. I tell him a bit more about the Major attacking us at the house. And how the Major’s changed his blue light ritual, how it keeps the teleporter from getting away. The Captain said to be careful, that the Major is going after people that are important to him.

When Aieslyn is ready for the ritual everyone shows for the ritual those that participate sit up closer, those that don’t – Marguerite & Murphy stay on the sidelines and watch.

There’s 3 Ravens flying around, lots of light, wind, and the visions of a lady with 2 spears. This all takes about an hour.

It ends with the candles being blown out.

Nothing much seems to have happened but then Jonathan flies up and starting bird chatting at Aieslyn.

She tells us that he says the other options have changed slightly.

The Horseman of Death is Stone.

Angel of Death is the Captain because of the hat.

Also because Aieslyn wasn’t that strong in doing the ritual those that did not want to participate in the ritual still did because of our bond that we got a while back when fighting Anubis.

Marguerite gets mad and walks off after hearing that.

May 13-17, 1879

We make plans to do the ritual at the Lost Cave. Option C that involves someone dying by fate (where as before it was definitely the Captain)

The plan is to do the ritual to summon the Major while our other forces are attacking Freedom to take it back. The idea is that without their leader there they will fall apart.

Mr. Parker & Mr. Conkling and Fairfax and his men are coming with us as well.

And head off to the Lost Cave.

May 19, 1879

We get to the Lost Cave and prepare to start the ritual.

Aieslyn, Marguerite and I do the ritual in the room.

Reggie, Corman, Jeff, the Captain, Mr. Conkling, Mr. Parker and 4 of the Captain’s men are in the room with us.

Mr. Fairfax and his men stay outside the cave.

Room is engulf in darkness, then light, then darkness, then light, and in the light we see some monsters when the light finally stays on the Major appears. He looks confused and then starts chanting. Suddenly demons fill the room with us.

We fight the demons and the Major and hear fighting from outside too. More demons keep showing after we kill a bunch.

Finally after almost everyone shooting and such at the Major he finally stops and his façade falls off of him and a bigger demon is in his place and he says “now I’ll take you to my world”

I ended up in a room fighting Asmodeous by myself. I shoot him and suddenly I show up in another “room”. (Later I hear that everyone was in some sort of room fighting Asmodeous) It was a crazy space! I see Mr. Conkling and Corman and Reggie fighting Asmodeous. I hear Aieslyn telling me to get into a room surrounded by fire. Demons are everywhere. Jonathan lands on my shoulder and tells me that I and anyone that can cast spells need to get to the top of the 4 platforms and do a ritual up there to be able to defeat Asmodeous. I teleport in and I get healed up and restored. Aieslyn teleports in with Mr. Parker into the room. Then we run out, it’s not surrounded by fire anymore, and Mr. Parker runs up one set of stairs after dispelling the magical barrier. Aieslyn dispels 2 stairs we can both go up 2 sets of stairs. I have to teleport to the top in order to get by broken stairs. I do my ritual and Aieslyn must have done hers and I guess that Marguerite showed up at some point and Jonathan told her to go up the last staircase.

Suddenly a portal of screaming spirits in the back of the ‘room’ yell out and the portal closes. Asmodeous yells out and throw Mr. Conkling after another swirling portal in the middle of the room. I’m able to use my telekinesis to make him not go into that.

Everyone’s firing and bolting and hitting Asmodeous. He eventually starts to crack and light comes out of him and then there’s a flash of bright light.

Then dark.

Then we are standing in a grass field all healed and everyone is there.

We see three Ravens flying towards us.

Then a comet streaks right across the sky aiming towards us.

It stops just before it hits us and shimmers into the form a man with armor and wings. An Angel!

He tells the Ravens to stop, and they do, he then looks at the Captain and says, “God has heard your prayer. You have 24 hours.”

The Hat then disappears off his head.

I ask the Captain what he did and he says he tried to put things right. When I ask about the hat he says it helped him in that last battle and that it left now. Probably to go back to Stone.

Aieslyn does a ritual to take us back to the Lost Cave and we meet up with the rest of the Captain’s men and Fairfax. There were some casualties as they were fighting the bloody ones. Turns out it’s been a week that we were gone fighting Asmodeous.

….May 26, 1879….

The Captain has us promise to find Father Thomas for him and since the Major is now dead I ask for something of the Father’s to try and find him. He gives me a rosary.

Hunch: I see a gaunt Father Thomas walking through the rubble of Freedom. I see soldiers in the town and people rebuilding. I can see Mr. Thomas James too.

I tell the Captain and ask him, since it’s his 24 hours, where does he want to go. He says Freedom to see his men.

Fairfax says that they have ritual that can be used to take us back to Freedom. He sets up and wooden archway that they’ve put a spell on to take them to Freedom. The ritual needs to be recast every time it’s used though.

He builds the arch and we all pass through to Freedom. I run off to find Father Thomas and bring him to the Captain.

We spend the rest of his 24 hours talking, telling stories, and drinking – whiskey is so very burny.

Finally it looks like the Captain looks tired, sits down in a chair and nods off. A shimmering light surrounds him and then his body disappears. Though his hat stayed behind.

Marguerite asks me to say a couple of words in honor of the Captain - to say good-bye from all of us.

The Journal of Cassandra Kane: Her Adventures in the Wild Wild West

Dime Novel: The Major Strikes Back

Real World Date: January 2009

Game World Date: February-March 1879

Season Two, Episode Eight

February 4, 1879

Aieslynn is researching the chains and the demon stuff.

Marguerite seems to feeling better since the mind attack. I think Reggie might have flashy thing’d her.

The Captain heads out to do his training with the soldiers.

Aieslynn tells Corman that she thinks she can heal his missing hand and eye.

Corman returns from Montana – he’s been gone awhile. He seemed calm. He said he returned the 2 Tomahawks that Blackstone had. That they had belonged to the Injuns and that Blackstone got them dishonorably. I tried to talk to him but he’s still mean and cranky and I don’t like him anymore!!!!!

February 11, 1879

Vision: Seeing through the Major’s eyes. I see the Monastery and the hole we dug out. I hear him curse and get angry. Then I see his gun and he starts killing the rest of Gabriel’s men he still had and he’s so angry he shoots all of his men that are in the room with them too. I can sense that he is so very angry, I’ve never felt that kind of rage out of him. Then he walks out the door and vision fades…..

As far as I know the only people he has left, that he hasn’t killed, are Father O’Hare and Mr. James Thomas.

February 12, 1879

Mr. Conkling returns with his retinue. Captain Elijah Miller and lots of other men. Meet Jeffery Peters – Reggie’s brother. He seems nice. I think he’s some sort of gunslinger like Reggie – he’s got a bulletproof vest and 2 gatlin pistols! He’s been traveling with Mr. Conkling. Mr. Parker tells us to pack up cuz tomorrow we are all heading out for Fort Lincoln.

February 13, 1879

Aiesylnn suggests we take the faire circle with all the men and horses. There’s one 1 mile east of Freedom to one 1 mile north of Fort Lincoln. Upon entering the faire circle Jonathan shows up and starts a squawk argument with Aieslynn. She asks him about books and he says he doesn’t have books and that she shouldn’t be using any demon’s names, and that “he” spends time him. He says we should get moving. Suddenly there is thunder and lightning in the distance. Marguerite freaks out and starts riding quickly away from the noise, but uncontrollably. Aieslynn ends up riding after her to help her.

When we leave the circle near Fort Lincoln there are all sorts of soldiers and weapons surrounding it. Guess the Colonel’s been keeping an eye on this one.

Colonel Wembly brings us into a large war room and debriefs us on the Major and Grimme’s movements.

Grimme & the Major supposedly are in Mexico right now gathering forces.

We have 3 critical points that need to hit now. They are all supply depots. One in Lion’s Roar (that the Colonel wants us to hit), on in Death Valley, and a third that the Captain will be hitting with his men.

I send a telegram to Mr. Fairfax to see if he’s available for the Death Valley mission. We are shown to new quarters where we can stay until we take off for our mission.

Aieslynn tries again to talk to Corman about fixing his hand or eye. Corman is very cranky about it.

An alarm goes off and guards start running about. Something about Marguerite doing magic where she’s not supposed to? She says that the walls of the house are inscribed with runes. And that we aren’t allowed on the second floor.

I ask to talk to Mr. Conkling and he invites me up for dinner. We talk about what’s been going on. And he says the wards on the building are because Captain Miller finally (after the assassination) that he should have more protections from magic (and would Marguerite not try to do that anymore). I tell him about the last vision about the Major and we talk about some of what’s been going on. He offers to send word to Gabriel about his men that have been killed. He also suggests I write a letter to my parents. It’s been a while since I’ve left and they have no idea where I am. I promised to write something before I leave for Lion’s Roar and he said would make sure it got to them

February 14, 1879

I get a telegram from Mr. Fairfax. He asks if he should bring him men.

I send him another telegram and tell him yes and ask him how far out he is.

We have lunch with Mr. Conkling to talk about the Major and the demons.

Aieslynn’s theory: When the Captain cheated fate it upset the balance and the Major (demon) was freed. Fate being cheated cause the demon to be freed, and as a demon of Vengeance & Lust (Asmodeous aka Hunter in the Shadows) he took on the personification of what caused his freedom – Captain Gabriel.

The Ark angels and demons of hells both decided that the demon Asmodeous was too bad to exist. The both agreed to banish him. Asmodeous is the child of Adam and Naamah (the Angel of prostitution) while he was married to Lilith (he’s first wife who wasn’t Eve!?)

The Four Horseman of the apocalypse are around. Stone is Death.

Later on Aieslynn & Marguerite go off to do something and come back kinda mopey.

February 15, 1879

Another telegram from Fairfax that says they’ll arrive around the 24th.

Aieslynn tells us what she & Marguerite had been doing. They were on the spirit plane to see what they could find out about the demon.

Any of the black cords that we/Aieslynn saw there were attached to people means that they had some how cheated fate. And that something else had picked up their cord. Which makes sense when you think of the people that she has said has black cords – Gabriel, Corman, and Grimme. She says it’s a good chance that Gabriel might die. She doesn’t know if she should tell him. But I think he’d be mad if we didn’t tell him and that he probably already suspects something like this. The others agree.

Aieslynn attempts once again to try and fix Corman’s arm. Theoretically it should work on Corman because she can heal him, but is his flesh considered living. Corman doesn’t want it tested on his eye though.

He finally agrees. We bring him to the doctor’s office to amputate his arm that way we don’t risk blowing up the hand Part way through the surgery we hear the doctor scream and Aieslynn and I run in to see Corman missing an arm slitting the doctor’s throat.

He then runs out of the building. I teleport Reggie in front of Corman so he can take him down while Aieslynn heals the surgeon. Corman is put down and we bring him back into the hospital. Capt. Miller shows up and we explain that everything is all right. Aieslynn saves the doctor and after we calm him down and get him out of the room she starts her ritual on Corman. It takes hours but we finally see the arm start to grow. It’s gonna take a few days before it gets fully grows back! It’s amazing!!!

February 24, 1879

Fairfax arrives with 15 of his men. I introduce them to Mr. Conkling, Captain Miller, and Colonel Wembly. We all go back into the war room and discuss our missions.

Fairfax says when we all get back from our missions we need to sit down and talk.

February 25, 1879

We take off for our missions. Reggie’s brother Jeffery is coming with us.

Marguerite is sent to the Captain to go with him.

And Mr. Fairfax heads to Death Valley.

March 1, 1878

We spot dust in the distance. We come across a patrol telling us the new laws of California. Reggie starts shooting. Kills four of the men, the rest we capture and let go. I try to tell them that Grimme isn’t a good man. But at this point we are the ones with the guns so it’s not like they’ll believe anything I say. Aieslynn tells him the Grimme’s a demon, but I try to explain that regular folk aren’t going to understand that. We ride off.

March 10. 1879

We avoid patrols the best we can for days and then we finally get to Lion’s Roar. It’s a Ghost Rock mining town. Aieslynn immediately gets a headache.

We arrive at nightfall.

Start to see posters for all of us as we get closer to town. Drawings for the rest. Photo for me and Marguerite. Aieslynn, Reggie, & Jeffery walk in. I teleport Corman in because the 2 of us look the most like our “wanted” posters.

Once inside we try to find the warehouse we are looking for. We take care of the 3 guys at door, then between Jeffery blowing up the door and Aieslynn dispelling some magic on it we finally get in. Inside the warehouse are men, undead, a few hucksters, a mad scientist, and a huge demon. It was chaos!!! The demon and Corman square off with each of them hurting the other. Reggie finally shoots the demon down but it gets back up all better. Then Corman knocks it down WITH ONE TOMAHAWK HIT!!

As we are taking down everyone else the back wall blows up and more men run in screaming. Most of us don’t know what is going on but Reggie and his brother start yelling and firing at the guys who just ran in. After much gunfire and fighting suddenly a large explosion rocks the warehouse.

After the dust settles, Aieslynn, Reggie, and Jeffery who some how made it out help dig Corman and I out of the rubble. Luckily we aren’t too hurt. The entire Warehouse has been destroyed.

With our ears ringing and coughing up dust Aieslynn gets all the horses and we ride out of town with a group of triad on our tails. We eventually outrun them and as we settle down for the night to mend our wounds Reggie explains what happened.

He says that was a Marshall Lawrence (who had strapped himself with dynamite and ghost rock). Reggie says he used to be some guy named Darling Peters. Him and his brother were thieves. His brother could break into places. His brother says they stole from rich people who deserved it and gave to poor. But one of their heists went wrong when there was an explosion that they had nothing to do with but killed the Marshal’s brother and cost Jeffery his leg and killed the rest of their friends. Reggie & Jeffery were thrown in jail for a few years but then Mr. Conkling recruited Reggie – and Jeffery as part of the deal. He was able to pull some strings to get them out of prison. But the cover story was they escaped from prison. Marshall Lawrence upset about their escaping kept chasing after them. Even after it was explained to him that they didn’t have anything to do with his brother’s death, he wouldn’t give up. He was stripped of all his authority but he then hooked up with Grimme to help him.

Reggie says if we have any problems with him or his brother traveling with us they’ll leave. And that he’d scout ahead with his brother so the three of us could talk about it.

But instead Corman, Aieslynn, and I start talking about good people and bad people. Corman doesn’t think Mr. Conkling is all that good. He says everyone has their own agenda. Aieslynn agrees and said Aegis was the first time she was really scared. When she realized that the government did that to people like ‘us’. It was really sad to hear how much they don’t trust a lot of people or Mr. Conkling completely.

Corman called me naïve if I didn’t think that Mr. Conkling has his own agenda. And that he’s just here for the paycheck. And that he went to take the 51st banner to the injuns because he didn’t trust the government with it.

Aieslynn said pretty much the same thing about only being her for the money. I mean I know that not everybody has money but I really thought that everyone in our group really believe in what they were doing. I can’t believe that they’d only be helping Mr. Conkling because he’s paying them!

I told them that Major scared me the most out of all the things we have dealt with. No matter how scary everything else has been. I told them about the nightmares.

Aieslynn says after the last time I told the Captain that more of his men were killed he stayed up all night at the bar drinking.

We talk for a while doing our ride back to Fort Lincoln.

March 22, 1879

Arriving back in Fort Lincoln we make our report to Colonel Wembly. He says the Captain succeeded but hasn’t heard back from Mr. Fairfax yet.

We then head to fairy circle to head back to Freedom.

Mr. Parker is there and there have been renovations on our house. Mr. Conkling is having an addition built for himself.

March 29, 1879

A telegram arrives from Fairfax says they took care of their mission and that they are heading north.

It starts raining!!

And then we hear the sounds of cannon fire?!

Aieslynn runs back into the house screaming that it’s time to go!! I was on my way out the door to see the rain and instead follow her up the stairs.

Vision: I see the Aieslynn and my backs…I have the feeling of supreme confidence, vengeance, and raw power.

I turn to blast the Major and Mr. Conkling from out of nowhere runs out of Mr. Parker’s room and tackles him. He’s wearing all sorts of stuff. I see he has the sacrificial dagger from our first mission.

Later I find out that Reggie & his brother are at the front door and they see the Captain and Marguerite riding up. Then he realizes that’s not Marguerite!!! It’s the voodoo lady and she starts playing with the house. He shoots her and the Major, except it’s just a magic glamour on the “major” and not him at all.

Corman who ran down the street to see what was going on and he see the Lady with the Red pants.

Mr. Parker runs out of his room bolting the Major.

I tell Aieslynn to grab Mr. Parker and I’ll get Mr. Conkling. I grab him and teleport him off of the Major to downstairs.

Aieslynn follows with Mr. Parker.

The house gets hit and shakes. The floor underneath us collapses and Mr. Conkling and I fall into the root cellar.

Reggie is on the stairs shooting backwards towards the door when he gets blown off the stairs into the new expansion.

The Major comes down the stairs and points a gun at Reggie and his brother. Reggie shoots him with cold iron and tells his brother to run.

The Major is annoyed. Aieslynn & Mr. Parker leave through the kitchen, Mr. Conkling and I leave through the root cellar. I get dazed and Mr. Conkling drags me to the stables as Aieslynn and Mr. Parker run there as well.

I feel someone try to get into my head. I shake it off.

Jeffery is at the stables and we can see Reggie and the Major through a hole in the house with a blue glow surrounding them. I finally shake off being dazed. Seeing Reggie in the blue field with the Major I teleport in grab Reggie and try to teleport out. Some how Reggie manages to teleport but I end up staying behind. The Major smiles, seems like he’s got a new trick. He tries to get in my head again but I’m able to keep him out. Once again with the scary smile he says “guess we’ll have to do this the hard way” and pulls out his guns. I scream at him to stay out of my head which startles him and gives me enough time to run away.

Reggie tries to shoot the Major again but the bullets don’t get any where near him.

Suddenly Aieslynn teleports next to the Major for some reason. Mr. Parker then teleports next to her and pushes her away from the Major. I later find out that the Voodoo lady got into Aieslynn’s head.

Reggie gets up near the Major who then with his clawed hands tears into Reggie & Mr. Parker and they fall over.

Aieslynn pulls out the staff from the tree of life and starts chanting. Some how Reggie disappears from near the Major’s feet and appears near Aieslynn’s.

The sound of Ornithopers fills the sky it’s the agency people. Jeffery grabs his brother’s body and start dragging him to the flying machine. Mr. Conkling runs at the Major and into the house to distract him. Corman comes running around the corner and grabs Mr. Parker and heads towards the Ornithopers. I try to run into the house to get Mr. Conkling but Corman stops me and drags me with him. We climb the rope ladder up and Mr. Conkling comes running out of the house towards us.

We all get away in the ornithoper and can hear the Major’s scream of disappointment. Corman says that he saw a lady with some dolls and that he killed her along with the lady with the red pants.

Mr. Conkling suggests we head to Virginia City as our home and town are destroyed.
